Write for us

We welcome original pitches that make recreational games clearer or easier to join. Send proposals through the Contact page and describe the reader, the subject and the useful point the piece will leave them with.

What we are looking for

Strong proposals take one distinct question about a game, its format, its rules or shared play and answer it in plain language. We value practical explanations, thoughtful comparisons, background that clarifies a present-day game, and low-pressure ideas for trying something new. Keep the scope narrow enough to handle without unsupported claims.

What to include

Tell us the working title, the central idea, who the piece is for and what makes the subject worth exploring. Note any sources or specialist input the idea would require. A pitch should stand on its own and should not depend on invented examples, claims of personal testing or advice that requires professional or local authority.

How to send a pitch

Use the Contact page and choose the general reason for writing. Include your proposal in the message field. Please send a pitch rather than a completed article unless we have agreed otherwise; we cannot promise publication or a response by a particular date.
